What I’ll Be Doing All Weekend at PAGE 3

PAGE 3 in Philadelphia isn’t just a chance for me to show The Good In Games on a big screen. It’s also a chance to keep collecting stories, meeting people, and building out what this project can become.
Here’s what my weekend at the Philadelphia Area Gaming Expo – PAGE 3 is going to look like.

The centerpiece of the trip is the film screening. We’ll watch the documentary start to finish, then open things up for questions and conversation.
What I’m hoping to dig into during the Q&A:
How games have personally helped people in the room
The moments that hit hardest during the film—and why
How stores, clubs, and conventions might use the film to kick off their own “why games matter” events
This isn’t meant to be a one-way presentation. I want it to feel like sitting down at the table: everyone brings something, everyone gets heard.
While I’m at PAGE 3, I’ll also be grabbing time—between games, panels, and hallway conversations—to record new interviews and short stories for future content around The Good In Games.
That might include:
Quick sit-down interviews with game designers and community organizers
Short “table stories” from players about a session they’ll never forget
Visual b-roll of tables in action, vendor hall life, and con energy
If you see a camera and a mic and want to talk about what games have done for you, come say hi. Some of these clips may end up in bonus content, social posts, or future cuts of the project.

Connecting with Creators & Stores
One of my biggest goals for this trip is to connect with:
Game stores interested in hosting local screenings
Con organizers who want to bring the film to their show
Designers and publishers who see alignment between their work and the themes of the film
Long-term, I want The Good In Games to travel: to back rooms of game stores, to library events, to school clubs, to more conventions like PAGE.
PAGE 3 is a perfect test bed for that—lots of creators, lots of industry folks, and lots of people who care deeply about what these games can do.
Actually Playing Some Games
And yes, I’m planning to roll some dice.
Between all the filming and talking, I’ll be sneaking into a few games—RPG sessions, maybe a board game or two, and whatever weird one-shot catches my eye on the schedule.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what this project is about: people at the table, telling stories, laughing too loud, and staying up later than they planned.
If you’re at PAGE 3 and see an open seat at your table, feel free to wave me over.
